Alberta Street Slide Show

Known as the New Style, Art Nouveau was first expressed in fabrics and graphic design. This style spread on architecture and furniture in the 1890's. Art Nouveau buildings often have asymmetrical shapes, arches and decorative surfaces with curved, plant-like designs.

The Riga Law School and The Swedish School of Economics are very typical buildings of Art Nouveau style. They are located adjacent to Alberta street more, Elizabetes street and Strelnieku streets which are the main streets in Riga displaying architectural of Art Nouveau wealth. click for more information
